Today we stayed in 1st block all day.I continued to work on assignments from other classes.I went home early and continued on work.It was a chill day overall and I can't wait to finish the book on Monday.

Today we did a bellringer on things people do to make you try to fit into cukture.I brought up the topic of music clothing and speech.Many people stereotype black people on their music choices and their speech.Latwr we continued to read the Fences story.The story was amazing before but it gradually got better and better.I got so excited and surprised at some points in the book and it is a good book overall.

Today we didn't go to Mr.Rease class.We were on lockdown.It was 2nd period and I was happy.I did not mind staying in second period because it's a easy class.We chilled for the rest of the day and watched a movie.It was a great day today overall and I still don't know why we were on lockdown.

Today we finished the presentations.Everyone's presentations were amazing.They were creative and they all aligned with the rubric.

Today was a great lesson about Hispanic heritage month.We started off with a A bell ringer about what we know or what to know about latino culture.I enjoy latino music and foods and I was so interested in discussing the culture. We later went over language,economic structures,social classes and etc.Finally,we read a big portion of the story Fences what we started last week.

Things i know about the Latino culture is some of the dishes made.I know that they are very family oriented.Their culture is full of diversity,traditions and happiness.I want to know more about more traditions and holidays and more meal preps.

Today in class we went over our Bell Ringers which was questions about the title of a poem.We talked about setting boundaries,trust issues and more.We later talked about race,diversity and etc.We watched a old Oprah Winfrey clip and witnessed the racism and less diverse group in some parts of Georgia.Lastly,we finally started reading the poem.The poem was good because of the student and teacher's enthusiasm and excitement.

We finished on working on one pagers for the story The Rockpile.We also worked on Rockpile Constructed responses. I enjoyed answering the questions .The questions were pretty easy and I finished quickly.

Today we continued to work on our one pagers.No paper work was given today by the way.The class was pretty good for the day.The substitute had no problems out of us.

Today in class we did a quiz on the story we were covering on the rockpile.For the most part the quiz was easy but I need more help on some definitions.If I knew the meaning to some words I would more than likely get the questions right.I enjoyed going over the quiz together and using process of elimination.

Today in class we started off with our bellringer.It was a continuation to the ending of the story the rockpile.We later did a multiple choice practice quiz and then we began our one pagers.
The Rockpile Ending
He bent down and grabbed the lunchbox.Later , he looked up at his dad.Then his dad looked at him and they had a talk about the boy behavior.Later they resolved the issue and it was resolved.The stepfather and mom resolved their issues and with the kids as well.

Today we did a bell ringer and it was about the description of our neighborhoods.We also read a story about a bad neighborhood and the many kids who live in it.It was a very interesting story.It was fictional but it definitely seemed like something that would happen in real life.

My neighborhood is a nice calm quiet neighborhood.The way my my neighborho[d is built is pretty nice.Its different houses and side areas with houses on them.My neighborhood is also unique because it has a pond where people can fish.It is a good neighborhood and there is no bad done in my neighborhood. Lastly my parents let me outside the neighborhood with people.I do not talk to much people in my neighborhood as I used to but if I wanted to go out I could.

Today we did a bell Ringer. The bell Ringer was a question how the effects of a veteran coming back home from battle.Next we read a short story on a veteran at war suffering from trauma from killing someone.He writes stories to help me cope and it still is hard to get over the trauma.The story was very interesting and informative and many soldiers feel like that coming back home from battle.
9/9 Bell Ringer
One specific way a veterans past experience can affect their current life is by them possibly having ptsd.Ptsd from a injury or death from a close friend or even a near death experience. A veteran relationship with their children might be rocky.It would be hard to gain a relationship with children if they are away but it is possible but will take time.

Today started off good and I enjoyed the start of class. We watched a interesting video about a young girl waking up at her funeral.She later died and it is all around a sad story but confusing and interesting. Later,we watched a video on Emily Dickinson.We had to also complete a 321 page about facts, interesting things,and a question.I find Emiky Dickinson's life very intriguing. She had a odd personality but was very smart and skilled and she reminds me of myself.

Today we went over the quotation assignment. I definitely got a way better understanding of the assignment. I am now able to complete the assignment. I also am very happy it was extended back to Tuesday.The last thing we did was a assessment. I am very confident I did well and I passed. I also enjoyed reading the poems that was given to us.

Today we didn't go to fourth block.We were put on lockdown for the remainders of the day.My day was great though and I was ready to go home anyway.
